The EU Digital Product Passport Platform for Manufacturers, Importers, and Distributors.
Every product sold in the EU will need a Digital Product Passport. Traceable is the self-serve platform for EU-compliant product passports across every ESPR-regulated category — starting with batteries, covering everything.
Trusted by manufacturers, importers, and compliance teams across Europe
"We evaluated five DPP providers. Traceable was the only one where we could start creating passports on day one without a consultant."
— Head of Compliance, EU battery manufacturer
Your next EU compliance deadline is not optional.
Battery passport mandatory. Products without a compliant DPP cannot be placed on the EU market.
Textiles, tyres, and electronics follow. 20+ product categories under ESPR by 2030.
Maximum penalty for non-compliance under ESPR enforcement — up to 4% of global turnover.
Two-thirds of EU economic operators — manufacturers, importers, and distributors — are unaware of or unprepared for Digital Product Passport requirements.

Common questions from EU economic operators
A Digital Product Passport (DPP) is a structured digital record containing product-specific information required by EU regulation. Yes, it is mandatory — the EU Battery Regulation (2023/1542) requires battery passports from February 18, 2027. The ESPR framework (2024/1781) extends this to all regulated product categories on a rolling timeline.
Batteries (EV, LMT, industrial) from February 2027. Textiles, tyres, and electronics expected from ~2028. Furniture, steel, aluminium, and construction products from ~2029–2030. Every product category sold in the EU will eventually be covered under ESPR.
Annex XIII of EU Regulation 2023/1542 specifies mandatory and recommended data fields across six categories: general information, carbon footprint, recycled content, performance and durability, hazardous substances, and supply chain due diligence. Traceable's LMT battery template covers all 111 fields.
When you publish a product passport, Traceable automatically generates a unique GS1 Digital Link-compliant URL and QR code. This meets the requirements for a machine-readable data carrier as specified in the regulation. The QR code resolves to a public DPP viewer accessible by anyone who scans it.
Yes. Traceable supports CSV bulk import for product data. You can also upload technical documents (PDFs, Excel files) and the AI extraction engine will map data to the correct DPP fields automatically.
Upload a technical document — test report, certification, BOM file, or spec sheet. Traceable's AI (powered by Anthropic Claude) reads the document, extracts structured data, and maps it to the relevant product passport fields. You review and approve before anything is saved. Human-in-the-loop, always.
Yes. All data is hosted in EU data centres. Traceable is fully GDPR-compliant. Documents uploaded for AI extraction are not used for model training and are deleted on request.
The EU Central DPP Registry launches in July 2026. Traceable will support direct integration from that date. Published passports will be submittable to the registry via the platform — no additional development required.
Yes. One Traceable account covers all product categories. Start with batteries today, add textiles or electronics as those deadlines approach. No separate contracts or accounts needed.
The EU Battery Regulation (2023/1542) is a specific regulation for batteries that includes battery passport requirements. ESPR (Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation, 2024/1781) is the broader framework that extends Digital Product Passport requirements to all product categories via delegated acts. The battery regulation came first; ESPR scales the concept to everything else.
Your first product passport is 60 minutes away.
No consultant. No six-month implementation. No enterprise contract. A compliant product passport before your deadline — from a platform built specifically for businesses who can't afford to get this wrong.
